The Dubai Chess & Culture Club's own news item reports the 22nd edition of 2026, with 170 players from 23 countries over nine rounds in the Sheikh Saeed bin Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Hall at the club. The chess-results server lists the 2025 edition on 2 and 3 March 2025 and the 2026 edition from 20 to 22 February 2026. The English news page prints "Zayed Chess Championship"; the Arabic news page prints "بطولة الوفاء لزايد الشطرنجية", and the chess-results server lists the 2025 edition as "Allegiance to Zayed Chess Tournament".
